Abstract:

Objective

To investigate the effect of concentrated growth factor (CGF) on wound healing in elderly patients.

Methods

A total of 44 elderly patients with poor wound healing admitted to Zhejiang Hospital from September 2017 to August 2021 were enrolled, of which 22 were treated with conventional wound care (control group) and the remaining 22 patients were treated with CGF (observation group). The wound healing time, pain visual analogue score (VAS) and clinical efficacy of the two groups were compared. The t test was used for the comparison of the measurement data, and the chi-square test was used for the comparison of the counting data.

Results

The healing time of the observation group was significantly shorter than that of the control group, and the pain VAS was significantly lower than that of the control group (t=2.989, 10.959, P < 0.01). The total effective rate of the patients in the observation group was significantly higher than that in the control group, but the difference was not statistically significant (χ2=2.230, P > 0.05).

Conclusion

Compared with conventional nursing, CGF has a better clinical effect on poor wound healing in the elderly, and its operation is simple and easier to care, which is worthy of promotion.
