Abstract:

Clinical diagnosis of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is difficult in early stages. Reliable biomarkers are required for diagnosis of AD. The detection of miRNAs which is stable in peripheral blood is an ideal means of performing early screening because of its convenience, non-invasiveness, and suitability for screening large populations. This paper introduces the miRNAs detection in serum, blood mononuclear cells, whole blood or plasma in Alzheimer's disease, providing a new method for AD diagnosis.
