Abstract:

Geriatric frailty syndrome is a common debilitating condition among the elderly population, which is closely associated with systemic inflammation processes. In recent years, researchers have extensively studied the role of inflammatory biomarkers in geriatric frailty, including cytokines, white blood cells, oxidative stress indicators, C-reactive protein, tumor necrosis factor, etc. This paper aims to review the current research findings on the relationship between inflammatory biomarkers and geriatric frailty syndrome, analyzing their potential value in diagnosis, prediction, and intervention of frailty in the elderly, facilitating the development of more effective strategies for prevention and management, ultimately improving the health and quality of life of the elderly.
