Methods

A total of 300 patients with chronic diseases who underwent health examination in the Health Examination Center of Ji'nan Second People's Hospital from January to August 2022 were selected and divided into control group (150 cases) and study group (150 cases). The control group was managed by SMG mode, and the study group was managed with age-friendly services plus SMG mode. Observe the efficiency of physical examination, compliance with medical advice, physical examination results, and quality of life of the two groups before and after the intervention. T test wasused for comparison of measurement data between the two groups.

Results

After the intervention, compared with the control group, the study group had shorter waiting time for medical examination, time taken to complete the medical examination (t=12.646 and 16.471, P < 0.01), higher scores for medical compliance (t=-9.520, -13.367, -11.896 and -20.452, P < 0.01), better physical examination results (t=12.076, 11.243, 12.272 and 7.400, P < 0.01), and higher SF-36 scores (t=-10.088, -11.723, -11.487 and -10.124, P < 0.01).

Conclusion

Age-friendly services combined with SMG model applied to elderly patients with chronic diseases can enhance the efficiency of physical examination, improve patients' compliance with medical advice, promote the improvement of physical examination indicators, and improve the quality of life, which is worthy of further promotion and application in clinical practice.
