Abstract:

Objective

To explore the intervention effect of active circulatory breathing technology on cardiovascular disease complicated with pulmonary infection in the elderly.

Methods

76 elderly patients with cardiovascular disease complicated with pulmonary infection admitted to Zhejiang Hospital from November 2019 to September 2020 were selected. Among them, 38 cases (control group) received routine nursing intervention, and the remaining 38 cases (observation group) received active circulatory breathing nursing intervention on the basis of the control group. The cough and sputum volume (1 h and 24 h) were compared between the two groups, and the improvement of lung signs including lung rales, sputum chirping and chest CT examination and SpO2 were observed. T test was used to compare the measurement data between groups, and χ2 test was used to compare the counting data.

Results

Compared with the control group, the volume of sputum excreted at 1 h and 24 hin the observation group was significantly increased (t=5.000, 3.700, P < 0.01), SpO2 was significantly increased (t=4.380, P < 0.01), lung rales, phlegm and chest CT examination were improved in more patients (χ2=26.316, 34.211, 27.390, P < 0.01).

Conclusion

Active circulatory breathing technology can enhance the cough and sputum excretion ability of elderly patients with cardiovascular disease complicated with pulmonary infection, and improve oxygenation and pulmonary signs.
