Sleep disorders and Alzheimer's disease

Abstract

Abstract:

With the accelerating aging of the population and the continuous increase of life expectancy, the prevalence of Alzheimer's disease is constantly increasing, and the elderly will mostly appear different degrees of physiological sleep changes, and even develop into various types of sleep disorders. The exact mechanism of Alzheimer's disease is not yet clear, nor is the relationship between sleep and alzheimer's. This article tries to clarify the relationship between different types of sleep disorders and Alzheimer's disease, and discusses the association mechanism and clinical treatment from various aspects, such as the theory of pathological deposition of beta-amyloid protein associated with the sleep center, the hypothesis of imbalance of neurotransmitter system, and the mechanism of circadian rhythm disorde, so as to provide theoretical basis and reference for the effective treatment of sleep disorder in Alzheimer's disease.
